The Sarah Grace Foundation For Children With Cancer, Inc. is dedicated to helping children and their families overcome the challenges and hardships brought upon by childhood cancer. Please use this website as a resource to find out more information about childhood cancer and learn about Sarah Grace's struggle with the disease. We have experienced firsthand the devastating impact of this disease and the psychological and financial burden it places on the family. Sarah was never alone; each night spent in the hospital one of us was at her side. We were fortunate that whoever was home each night had a home cooked meal prepared by family and friends. We had an overwhelming outpouring of community support and realize that not all families are as fortunate to receive such tremendous support.

We drew strength from Sarah's example throughout her illness. The Sarah Grace Foundation is our way of thanking those who helped us - by helping others and by keeping Sarah's memory alive at the same time.

The Sarah Grace Foundation For Children With Cancer, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation dedicated to improving the quality of life of children with cancer and to provide comfort and support to the families of children suffering from cancer. It is our mission to let everyone see life through Sarah's eyes by providing the following:

Toys, crafts, ballgame tickets, or some other pleasure unique to each child to make their journey through this menacing disease more bearable.
To further and support the well being of children with cancer by providing whatever is the child's wish to make their journey through this menacing disease more bearable.
To provide comparable wishes to the sibling(s) of the sick child. We have seen first hand through James' eyes how this disease affects the daily lives of siblings just as it does the sick child. They too experience uncertain times and questionable futures.
Financial aid, moral support or other assistance to the parents of children suffering from cancer so all their efforts can be focused on caring for their sick child.
To disseminate information to the general public to foster and promote public awareness and concern for children suffering from cancer.

Working with the social workers and staff of The Pediatric Oncology Departments of Schneider Children's Hospital, Winthrop, Columbia, Montefiore, NUMC, and other area hospitals we are able to identify these cancer patients, and their families, and provide assistance accordingly.
