  • Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among US children under the age 15.
  • Each school day, 46 children or two entire classrooms of children are diagnosed with cancer. By age 20, one child in 330 is diagnosed with cancer. Leukemia and brain tumors account for over one-half of the new cases each year.
  • The cases of pediatric cancer are increasing at a rate of 1% every year, while funding for research continues to be minimal.

  • As Sarah’s disease progressed she required regular blood and platelet transfusions as a result of the chemotherapy and radiation. Sarah’s brother, James, was a perfect match for her bone marrow transplant; some families are not so fortunate. You can..
  • Become a volunteer blood and platelet donor by contacting LI Blood Services or your local blood service.
  • Become a marrow donor by joining the National Marrow Donor program by registering at www.marrow.org.
  • BECOME A VOLUNTEER - Contact us ! The Sarah Grace Foundation is an all volunteer organization. All of our programs and activities are possible through the generosity of our donors AND volunteers committed to making a difference.
