September marks the end of summer and the beginning of a new school year for
most children. Children diagnoses with cancer, in most cases, do not share in the
excitement of a new school year; new clothes, new books, new friends! Some are
hospitalized, many are home schooled.

The gold ribbon is the official ribbon of children with cancer worldwide. On the first school day and on EVERY school day, 46 children or two entire classrooms of children are diagnosed with cancer.
Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among U.S. Children under age 15. Every year 4000 children die from cancer... That’s 11 children... every single day ... every single year.
